He was predeceased by: his father Dr. James T. Utter; his grandparents, Wesley, Emma Kubik, James and Dorthea Utter of Northfield, Minnesota; and his pet Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Siechert of Cedar Rapids, IA; his mother JoAnne Utter of Cedar Rapids, IA; his brother James D. Utter of Dallas, TX; his siblings' children, May Lee Utter, James Wesley Utter, Emma Jo Utter and Kate Utter; his sister Jeanette Heckelsmiller (Dave) of Palatine, IL; his siblings' children, David Heckelsmiller (Cassidy) of McGovern Bristol, England, Adam Heckelsmiller of Indianapolis, IN and Emma Heckelsmiller of Chicago, IL; his sister Julie Utter of Iowa City, IA; and his pets, Jaxx and Bodie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
