He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Sr. Konecny and Rose Konecny. He is survived by : his wife Betty; his children, Scott (Laurie), Susan and Rick; his grandchildren, Brianne (Jason), Nicolette and Nicholas (Kaley); and his great grandchildren, Maddox and Hendrix.

Memorial contributions may be given to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
