In the sacred silence of farewell, Kathryn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Kathryn's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney G. Hansen; her parents, Earl O. Ballou and Natalie J. Ballou; and her children, Chryl Gipson, Michele Hansen and Degn Hansen.
She is survived by: her son Sidney M. Hansen (Bobbi) of Waterloo, IA; and her brother Rodney D. Ballou (Dave Oshita) of Honolulu, HI..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
