He was predeceased by: his brother Richard Pieper; his sister-in-law Judy Pieper; and his parents, George Pieper and Genevieve Schulte Pieper. He is survived by: his brother Dan Pieper of Cedar Rapids; and his sibling's children, Ashley Pieper of Tiffin and Austin Pieper of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by two great nieces and one great nephew.

Instead of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family.
