He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Carl and Ann Louise Hopp (Giese); and his brother-in-law Richard Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Erceg of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Chad Hopp of Eagan and Sara Mecklenburg (Michael) of Marion, IA; his grandchildren, Abby, Brody and Kaitlyn Mecklenburg; and his sister Linda Clark (Lawson "Skip") of Mt. Vernon, IA.. He is also survived by his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins, and an aunt.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Cottage Grove Place and/or Hospice of Mercy.
