He is survived by: his wife Gloria Smith (Reiter); his children, Emily Hoyer (Bobby) and Ben Purvis (Laura); his grandchildren, Caleb and Libby Hoyer; his nephew David Bachman (Dee Dee); and his siblings, Brenda Krupka (Tim), Nancy Burke, Rhonda Abshire, Karen Cornell (Steve) and Robert Smith. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
