He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ingeborg, Thor Thorson, Guy and Alice Boldan; his parents, Oliver Thorson and Margaret Thorson; his stepmother Leone Thorson; and his sister Jean Lent.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his son Erik of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sister Kathy; and his brother-in-law Ron Esper of Erie, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
