He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kalous and Helen Kalous (Netolicky); his girlfriend Donna Heidt; his brother Ken Kalous; his nephew Jeremy Kalous; his sister-in-law Patty Kalous; and his pet Izzy.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Michael Heidt of Marion and Ron Heidt (Diane Kinion) of Cedar Rapids; his brother Duane Kalous (Carol) of Cedar Rapids; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
