He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bissell and Ada Bissell (Sauerbry); and his siblings, Dale Bissell, Vance Bissell, Bonnie Hamlett, Lois McDowell and Doris Mallicoat.

He is survived by: his wife Toby Bissell; his children, Shane Bissell, Lance Bissell, Lea Cliff (Gary) and Barry Bissell; his grandchildren, Rylee Cliff, Jillian Cliff, Braxton Bissell, Braeden Bissell and Shayla Bissell; his siblings, Bill Bissell (Shirley), Donnabelle Elledge and Pat Sparrgroave (Dale); and his sister-in-law Joan Bissell.
