He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Jansa and Antonie Jansa (Matyk); his sister Leona Poduska (Harold); and his siblings-in-law, John Volesky, George Schulte, Bernard Schulte (Sylvia), Herbert Schulte (Violet), Glen Schulte (Dorothy), Ray Schulte (Barb), Marcella Montague (Evard), Lorene Blankman (Orville) and Margaret Hansen (Alfred).
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Schulte; his children, Karen Joens (Jim) of Swisher, Linda Sadler of Cedar Rapids, Darrell Jansa of Shueyville, Julie Sanford (Bill) of Edgewater and Don Jansa (Patti) of Western; his sister Adeline Volesky of Cedar Rapids; and his sister-in-law Barbara Arp (Regis) of Fairfax. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
