Marguriete Maccani Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marguriete Maccani of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marguriete shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marguriete farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her brothers-in-law, Lee Maccani (June) and Bob Imbus; and her parents, Ellis Sackett and Josephine Puetz Sackett. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her sons, Rick Maccani (Christina), Brian Hilzendager (Lori), Philip Maccani, Brent Hilzendager (April) and Darrell Hilzendager (Angela); and her sister Marian Imbus. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (1350 Lyndhurst Dr, Hiawatha, IA 52233).
