It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Spieler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Deene Spieler of Peter's Catholic Church; her daughter Kristine; her siblings, Joyce McClintock and James; her sister-in-law Mary Chicoine; and her parents, Adrian Chicoine and Helen Chicoine.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Baltes (Steve), Kurt Spieler (Joanna) and Kerri Reed (Rick); her grandchildren, Kylie Bales (Cody), Bethany Volk (Jason), Danielle Langer (Landon), Taylor Miller (Zach), Logan Spieler (Precious), Riley Reed (Caitlyn Pelissero) and Toby Reed (Skylar Harlan); and her great grandchildren, Carter Veasman, Cora Bales, Cooper Bales, Hadley Volk and Bennett Volk. She is also survived by her family and many friends.
