With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Helen Hekel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on December 25, 2022 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Glasbrenner and Shirley Glasbrenner (Weist); and her brother Mike Ritter. She is survived by: her sons, Dan Hekel (Rhonda), Derek Hekel (Sarah) and Dustin Hekel; her grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Brenden, Caitlin and Morgan; her close friend Jerry Driscoll; and her siblings, Connie Engledow, Rita Swanton, Sue Gipson, Carol Cox, Jerry Glasbrenner and David Glasbrenner.
