She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Cleary; her brothers, Orland and Burt Johnson; and her parents, George Johnson and Olga Thompson Johnson.

She is survived by: her son Brent Foss (Dawn) of Shueyville; her grandchildren, Tyler Foss (Nadia) of Des Moines and Lauren Hynek (Hunter) of Ely; and her great grandchildren, Heidy and Athena.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Red Cross Hurricane Ian Relief Fund.
