He was predeceased by: his parents, August Jochimsen and Anna Jochimsen (Steen); his wife Beverly Jochimsen; his son Dennis Jochimsen; and his siblings, Louise Flathers, Dorothy Carstensen and Paul Jochimsen.
He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Jochimsen of Cedar Rapids, Steven Jochimsen of Cedar Rapids and Alan Jochimsen (Deborah) of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Trent Jochimsen (Maddie), Melanie Jochimsen (Jon Morrow), Steven Taylor (Jenna), Jessica "Jessi" Hintz and Samantha "Sammi" Hintz; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Olivia, Maeve and Ava Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Martin's memory may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
