It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Rops of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Austinville, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Verla Zinser; his daughter Tresa; his parents, John Rops and Lula Rops (Brand); his parents-in-law, Clarence and Gladys Zinser; his siblings, Leonard and Valda; his brother-in-law Arlo Dougan; his sister Betty Harken; and his siblings-in-law, Ladonna Rops, Junior Ascher and Gene Beving.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Coffin of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Bryan (Vanessa) of Fort Smith and Chris of Westfield, Indiana; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Rachel) of Holly Springs, Kristin Rops of Lake Helen, Amanda Rops of Cedar Rapids, Madelyn, Molly of Edmond, Megan and Matthew Rops of Westfield, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Willard, Ava Kay and Adelynn; his stepchildren, Sue Reth, Lisa Young and Jeff Coffin (Terri) of New Smyrna Beach; his siblings, Jo Ann Beving, Mary Ascher, Frances Hook (Floyd) and Dennis Rops (Rhonda); and his siblings-in-law, Donald Harken and Judy Long.
