She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert F. Gerleman and Cathrine E. Gerleman (Zweibohmer); her former husbands, Robert Mihm and Alfred Ahern; and her sisters, Marceline Daniels (Doris Gerleman), Helen Juen (Lawrence Gerleman) and Lois Jean Gerleman (Ronald Gerleman).
She is survived by: her husband Francis "Fritz" R. Geers; her children, Jacquelyn Mihm of Cedar Rapids, Jeffrey Mihm (Janice) of Denver, Steven Mihm (Dena) of Hamlin, Laurie Frances of Cedar Rapids and Brad Mihm (Amy) of Norway, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Mike Geers (Dianna), Kathy Geers, Susan Geers Ryan and Dan Geers (Jamie). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; some sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A vigil service was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3855 Katz Dr, Marion, IA 52302). Visitation was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (2310 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
