She was predeceased by: her parents, Houston Peters and Lena Mae Peters (Ballard); and her siblings, Joan, Betty Jean, Gladys, Priscilla, Houston and Raymond.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Brown of Red Oak, TX and Patricia Peters of Memphis, TN; her grandchildren, Tahlisa, Terrence, Denise, Menise, Dion, Pierre, Alisea, Fontane and Breneshia; and her siblings, Barbara Burke of Memphis, TN, Jerome Peters (Felicia) of Memphis, TN, John Peters (Liz) of Jacksonville, FL and Willie "Fred" Peters of Clinton, IA. She is also survived by twenty four great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
