She was predeceased by: her husband John L. Knox; her son Jay P. Knox; her mother Viola Miller; her grandmother Lela Jones; her siblings, Mervin, Byrd, Henry Byrd Jr. and Justine Brown; and her cousin Jackie Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Knox Swims, Darryl Knox of Cedar Rapids, Carletta Knox Seymour and Bryant A. Knox of Milwaukee. She is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
