With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Miriam Bierwirth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Irving Baumgartner and Nora Baumgartner (Schilling); her sisters, Ruth Baumgartner, Rachel Doran and Eunice Lentz; her husband LeRoy; and her son-in-law Brad Brophy.
She is survived by: her children, Heidi Rieff (John), Lori Hunt (David) of Cedar Rapids and Robin Brophy of North Liberty, Iowa; her grandchildren, Amanda Rieff, Samantha Rieff, Andrew Hunt, Heathur Aanrud (Derek) and Gabriel Hanson; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Brandon, Dylan and Autumn.
