With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Morris G. Sloan MD (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Debbie Yossi of Dennis Yossi, DDS, Alan Sloan, Bob Sloan (Linda) and Mark Sloan (B. K.); his grandchildren, Megan Copeland of Chris Yossi, MD, Elizabeth Sloan, MD (Jonathan Mentesana), Kaydee Sloan, Katie Myers and Lindsay Sloan; and his parents, Morris Sloan, Sr. and Lydia Rate Sloan. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Boone Co. Hospital or the First United Methodist Church in Boone, IA.
