He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Colbert and Martha Colbert (Huff); and his brother Phil Colbert. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Meyer; his son Colton Colbert; his stepson Clayton Meyer; and his siblings, Yvonne Bickel (Rob), Mark Colbert (Brenda) and Mike Colbert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
