She was predeceased by: her mother Pearl Cooling; and her husband Gary Lee Preston. She is survived by: her children, Matthew Preston (Tamera) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Jamie Moran (Mark) of Galena, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Hunter, Emma Preston, Tyler and Kate Moran.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church of Cedar Rapids.
