He was predeceased by: his wife Burnita; his siblings, Jack, Ken Lowder and Ruby; and his parents, John Lowder and Dorothy Lowder (Louder).
He is survived by: his son Philip Lowder, Jr. (Sue) of Cedar Rapids; his grandsons, Ethan Lowder of Boston, MA and Lucas Lowder of Miami, FL; and his brother Tom Lowder (Sondra) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
