Phyllis Anne Pate Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Anne Pate of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Nestor and Mary Nestor (Entringer). She is survived by: her husband George Elliott Pate of Bertram; her children, Mark Pate of Waukesha, Angela Ormsby of Minneapolis, David Pate of Cedar Rapids and Mary Powers (Jason) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Brian Pate (Amy), Christina Machowski (Tony), Alex (Meghan), Drew, Matthew Ormsby and Jack Powers; her great grandchildren, Leyla, Summer and Colton Pate; and her brother Don Nestor (Gale) of Mequon, Wisconsin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3855 Katz Dr, Marion, IA 52302). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (720 29th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
