He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto W. Sedlacek and Irene Sedlacek (Kadera); and his wife Karolyn Sedlacek. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Gerlits (Tim), Robert Sedlacek (Judith), Tim Sedlacek (Amy) and Steve Sedlacek; and his sisters, Mary Haman and Velma Moen (Marion). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
