With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Randy Brown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Brown and Barbara Brown (Armstrong); his daughter Barbara Brown; his brother Glen Brown Jr.; and his grandparents, Glen and Dorothy Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife DeAnn Brown (DeDe); his daughters, Christine Hagerman (David Hagerman) of Shellsburg and Tracey Petersen (Jimmy Martin) of Wichita, Kansas; his grandchildren, Dawn Becker (Corey Becker) of Marion, Austin Dreckman (Felicia Dreckman) of Cedar Rapids, Taylor Dreckman of Cedar Rapids, Meghan Dreckman of Cedar Rapids and Brooklyn Petersen of Wichita, Kansas; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana Dreckman, Xavior Dreckman and Jinora Dreckman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
In lieu of flowers, as Randy would say "weeds", the family requests, any financial donations be made to DeAnn and family.
