He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Yates and Ethlyn Paterson Yates; his wife Marie Ann; and his sisters, Lois Little (Bob) and Annabelle Ochletree (Keith).
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Yates (Debra) of Palo and Connie Stueck (Allen) of Atkins; his grandchildren, Brianna Cannady (Preston) of Queen Creek, AZ, Danielle Balvin (Brian) of Chelsea, Brent Stueck (Jessa) of Hiawatha and Matthew Yates (Brooke) of Palo; and his great grandchildren, Graham, Gia, Kaylee, Henry, Teagan, Terran and Tate.
