He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Johnson and Marian Johnson (Akers); his daughter Angela Johnson; his stepson Anthony "Tony" Kennedy; his sister Barbara Elam; and his stepfather LeRoy Moody.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Johnson; his children, Richard "Hopper" Floyd Johnson Jr., Tracy Jones (Mike) and Lewis Craven (Josephine); his grandchildren, Candace Mims (Micha), Jared Johnson, Maurice Higgins, Traleena Higgins and Gwyn Craven; his great grandchildren, Antwon, Devonte, Johnothan and Maci; and his cousin Ramona "Mona" Johnson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
