With sadness, we share the passing of Richard W. McVay (Cedar Rapids, Iowa). Richard, born on May 5, 1950, passed away on July 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Richard for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne McVay and Helen [Kokes] McVay; his sisters, Billie-Ann [McVay] and Sandy [Schulte]; and his wife Monette [Coates].
He is survived by: his siblings, Bob McVay [Gloria] of Keystone and Nancy Schmuecker [Gary Stallman] of Fairfax, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
