He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Underwood and Mary Underwood (Laramie). He is survived by: his wife Carla; his children, Jordan (Rosane), Chad (Lauren) and Justin (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Lillian, Olivia, Jaxon, August and Jayden; his sister Diana Gregg (Jeff); and his pet Bella.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Christian Reformed Church (6600 C Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
