He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Madrick and Ann Madrick (Perko); his wife Sue Madrick; and his sister Laurie Schueneman. He is survived by: his children, Mary Diane Grant (Scott) of Crystal Lake, Robert Madrick (Lori) of Anamosa, John Madrick (Jennifer) of Fort Collins and Beth Valenta (Marc) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Joshua Grant (Betsy), Nicole Brashier (Tyler), Conor Grant, Andrew Madrick, Benjamin Madrick, Dugan Madrick, Reilly Madrick, Samantha Valenta and Anna Valenta; his stepgrandsons, Matt Heffernan (Carla) and Luke Heffernan; and his great grandchildren, Izzy, Kenzeth Heffernan, Braxton and Kendrick Heffernan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Robert's memory may be directed to Hospice of Mercy or St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
