He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Gignac and Amos Gignac (Barbara); his brother Jerry; and his grandson Matthew Fisher. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sister Muriel (Genrich); and his children, James Gignac (Lisa), Timothy Gignac (Patti), Joy Gignac and Lori Fisher. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as a whole passel of relatives.

For the last few years, this (self-proclaimed) 'grumpy old man' was living independently, defying Covid, but a recent stroke changed that scene.
