He is survived by: his wife Jean O'Brien of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, John O'Brien (Tracy) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Kori Minor-Nidey (Luke) of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Jacob, Katelyn, Simon and Kaylee; and his siblings, Mary Jackson of Rockwood, Ontario and Wayne O'Brien of West Union, IA..
