He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Shimon and Clara Shimon; and his wife DonnaRae. He is survived by: his sons, Richard Shimon (Jennifer) of Troy, MI, Robert Shimon (Carey) of St. Charles, IL and Jeffrey Shimon (Julie) of Colorado Springs, CO; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Jack, Joseph, James, Jane and Ryan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Remembrance Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405).
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society per the family's wishes.
