RSM Susan Dunnwald Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of RSM Susan Dunnwald of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on November 3, 2022 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of RSM Susan Dunnwald to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence J. Dunnwald and Irene Dunnwald (Maguire); and her siblings, Clifford, William, Joseph, James and Maureen.
She is survived by: her sisters, Susan (Sacred Heart Convent), Jane Towe and Pat Delagardelle; and her sister-in-law Marcie Dunnwald. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In 2004, upon the recommendation of Archbishop, Most Rev. Jerome Hanus, O.S.B. of Dubuque, Pope John Paul II recognized Sister Susan along with five other religious, for their significant contributions to the mission of the Church and to the betterment of society with the Cross, Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.
