She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Mathews and Norma Mathews (Vick); her sisters, Barb Ross and Karen Waddell; her great grandchild Otto Gibson; and her brother-in-law Don Lacy.

She is survived by : her daughter Carrie Gibson (Anthony Whitlatch) of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Carol Lacy of Cedar Rapids and Bob Gehrke of Iowa Falls; her grandchildren, Michael Gibson, Jason Gibson (Madie) and Taylor Gibson (Bonnie); her great grandchildren, Lucy Gibson, Winnie Gibson and Jane Gibson; and her nephew Travis Ross. She is also survived by her family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Sandra.
