The passing of Sandra Jeanne Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 67. She was predeceased by: her father William Hinshaw; her brothers, Donald and Timothy Hinshaw; and her mother Rosalie Stamper Hinshaw. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Thompson; her children, Casandra Thompson and Jake Thompson (Amanda); her sister Linda McClintic (Glenn) of Cedar Rapids; and her aunt Judy Cooper (Newton). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Floris Cemetery (12052 Floris Rd, Floris, IA 52560).
