It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirlee Baer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Roanoke, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Hodel and Minnie Hodel (Gudeman); her husband Elmer Baer; her children, Keith and Laurie Smith (R. D.) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her daughter-in-law Shirley Baer of Springfield, Ill.; and her grandchildren, Jay Smith (Nicole) of Westerville, David Smith (Susanna) of Pflugerville and Kelly Martin (Matt) of Marion, Iowa. She was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Restmor or American Cancer Society.
