It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Budreau of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in West Branch, Iowa, who passed away on October 24, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Petersen and Lillian Petersen (Jensen); her husband Edward John Budreau; her sisters, Dorothy Petersen Gongwer and Joyce Petersen Bennett; her son-in-law Richard Rinkema; her niece Sheila Bennett; and her nephews, Jerry Lee Gongwer and Robert Gongwer.

She is survived by: her children, Diana Emig, Gary Budreau (Jody) and Susan Rinkema; and her sibling Carroll Petersen. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
