It is with sadness that the passing of Theresa Meis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is shared. Theresa, born on December 24, 1934, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Theresa will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Theresa by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Theresa is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Theresa’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Naso and Edna Naso (Larson); her son John Meis; and her sister Christina Naso Lacock. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Meis, Diane Avery (Joel) and Molly Knock (Dennis); and her siblings, John Naso (Kay), James Naso (Betty) and Mary Kelly (Dennis). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services (1844 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
