He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Brunow and Rita Brunow (Mullenix); his wife Eileen Mulvehill; his siblings, James Brunow and Geraldine Dickerson of Centerville; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Mulvehill of Cedar Rapids, Catherine Quint of Ryan, James Broghammer of Manchester and Vernon Quint of Ryan.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Brunow (Angie) of Cedar Rapids, Damon Brunow (Susan) of St. Peter, MN and Barbara Sullivan (David) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Brunow (James), Marie Broghammer (Jim) of Manchester and Donald Mulvehill (Betty) of Des Moines. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (1221 1st Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (2310 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
