He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Crane and Margaret Crane (Hartzer); his daughter Amy Phillips; his former wife Ruth Crane; and his wife Paulette Bridges.
He is survived by: his children, David Crane (Gail) and Mary Jo Crane; his son-in-law Doug Phillips; his grandchildren, Drew Phillips (Bethannie), Tara Crane, Lauren Netz, Brenden Phillips and Anna Netz; and his siblings, Trish Cavins (Bob), Mary Margaret Wallace, JoAnn Burson, Jim Crane (Paula) and Suzi James (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hampton, Iowa.
