It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Trudi Lynn Kesterson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Belle Plaine, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Jean Vandivier (Beck). She is survived by: her husband Dave Kesterson; her children, Andrew Rodgers, Riley Peak (Matt), Caleb Kesterson, Aalyiah Watkins (Bryce Anders) and Haley Kesterson (Tucker Shepard); her granddaughter Penelope Peak; her father Jim Vandivier; and her brother Shawn Vandivier.

“Dave and family, So sorry to hear of Trudi’s passing. I first met Trudi on the ball diamond when she was in High School. Trudi always smilies even while competing. I met Dave a couple of years later and I never imagined that they would meet and hit it off so well and so quickly. Our paths would cross again and Trudi would talk me into taking the Assistant coach at Mt. Mercy. This was a quick decision which changed the course of my life, much like their marriage.
