He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Holub (Walker) and Gus Holub; his former wife Mary Schipper; his son Tony Holub; his siblings, Doris Divoky (Richard) and William Holub; and his brothers-in-law, William Rausch and Gary Kruse.

He is survived by: his former wives, Mary Matthews and Mary Jane "Janie" Mehmen; his children, Dr. Thomas Holub (Marci) of Solon, Terri Jones (Kenny) of Swisher and Traci Warren (Steve) of Arvada, Colorado; his grandchildren, Matthew Holub, Travis Holub (Haley), Courtney Markworth (Drew), Chelsea Bakewell (Ian), Conner Jones, Brady, Trey and Addyson Warren; his great grandchildren, Mattie and Breckon; his siblings, Phyllis Rausch of Marion, Lary Holub (Suzanne) of Center Point, Gary Holub of Center Point and Mary Kruse of Center Point; and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Holub of Mexico.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Solon American Stinocher Legion Post #460.
