She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Gabel; her son Ken Melsha; her grandson Adrian; her brother Don Edgington; her daughter-in-law Kim Melsha; and her parents, Clarence Edgington and Pauline Edgington (Cohea).

She is survived by: her sons, Mike Melsha (Rochelle) of Cedar Rapids and Scott Keith (Sue) of Cookeville, Tennessee; and her stepchildren, Linda Prusynski (Mark) of Boise, Susan Batchelor of Juniata, Nebraska and David Gabel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
