She was predeceased by: her mother Marietta Baxa Stepanek; her husbands, Buck and Joe; her father Joe Stepanek; her stepfather Albert Stepanek; her sister Joan; her siblings-in-law, Rex Simpson and Bev Stepanek; her sons-in-law, James LeGrand, Scott Knotts and Jerry Meyers; her grandchild Stacy Sprague; her great grandchildren, Shane Batcheller and Levi Holten; and her nephew Rick Strait.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly LeGrand of Marion, Patricia Knotts of Marion, Deanna Ford of Covington, Robert Ford (Sue) of Marion, Marsha Rowe (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, Brenda Ford (Mike) of Cedar Rapids, Jacqueline Stewart (Mark) of Mediapolis and Wayne Werderman (Kim) of Lisbon; her brother Donny Stepanek (Caroline) of Marion; her grandchildren, Christy Michael (John) of Marion, Randy LeGrand (Patty Jo) of Coggon, Steve Jr. Batcheller (Trudie) of Cedar Rapids, Richard Batcheller of Cedar Rapids, Paula Emmerson (Rick) of Cedar Rapids, Steve Dighton Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Craig Ford (Katie) of Marion, Bobby Jr. Ford (Joan) of Walford, Laurie Pence of Cedar Rapids, Jami Lewis (Jeff) of Cedar Rapids, Dakota Sprague of Cedar Rapids, Dennis Jr. Carmer (Heidi) of Ely, Michael Carmer of Cedar Rapids, Shawn Carmer (Chelsea) of Lisbon, Jennifer Larson (Clint) of Oakville, Megan Rife (Josh) of Mount Vernon, Ashley Kruse (Kassidy) of Lisbon, Kylie Werderman (Charlie) of Cedar Rapids and Bryce Werderman (Kylie) of Lisbon; and her pet Haley. She is also survived by 50 great-grandchildren; 22, and counting, great-great grandchildren; numerous cousins; nieces; nephews; and special friends.
She battled dementia and Alzheimer's for the last decade of her life, and during that time her family mourned the loss of the mother and grandmother as they knew her.
