He is survived by: his children, Shawn Kies (Mindy) of Vinton, Vicky Kies of Marion, Rhonda Kies of Vinton, Kim Kies of Cedar Rapids and Lora Kies of Mount Vernon, Iowa.; his grandchildren, Jordynne, Dylan, Teeana, Kyleigh, Keegan, Layla, Charity, Patience and Faith; his great grandchildren, Easton and Emerson; and his brothers, Don Kies, Raymond Kies (Mary) and Roger Kies.
