He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Briggs and Agnes Briggs; and his daughter Dreanna Briggs Langdon (Lanny) of Manteca, CA.. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane McCabe; his children, Don Briggs (Dianna) of Cedar Falls, Janice Gianni (Dan) of Windsor, CA and Dick Briggs (Susan) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Will Langdon (Sarah), Kyle Briggs (Sarah) and Lauren Briggs; and his great grandchild Eleanor Langdon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Bill in his name for a charity of their choosing.
