He was predeceased by: his mother Anna McQuiston (Urban); his wife A. LaVelle McQuiston; his father William McQuiston; and his siblings, James M. McQuiston, Enid L. Martin and Grace E. Palmer.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg M. McQuiston (Jackie) of Hiawatha, Jeffrey R. McQuiston (Connie) of Cedar Rapids and Barry R. McQuiston (Denice) of Cedar Rapids; and his grandchildren, Trent, Leah, Allie, Jana, Hailey and Chelsea. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church (2000 1st Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
